Itaewon Pizza Hut Calls it Quits….

After many years (at least the 9 that I have called Seoul home) of satisfying the urge for zas among the hungry foreigners of Itaewon, Pizza Hut is calling it quits. Could it be because of other Itaewon pizza options? (among them, Eat*-A-One members La Tavola, La Volpaia, Italonia, Loco Loca, and Pita Time?)

Loco Loca Joins Eat*-A-One

Newly opened, at Loco Loca you will find South American influences in design and atmosphere, freshly baked oven pizzas with Latino flavors and the very best South American wines will be served. Eat*-A-One members will receive 10% off all weekday lunches at Loco Loca.

Burger King Makes Miraculous Move

Itaewon’s Burger King managed to move from its old location to its new premises at the KEB Bank building in record time. Seemingly overnight, it moved several hundred meters down Itaewon Road. Now, of course, BK is not an Eat*-A-One merchant, but I know how some of you may need a whopper every now and then. However, before you indulge in such fare, consider a visit to Pita Time, just across the street, where the fast food is much better. Or, head to Toque Diner or Indigo for a real nice juicy homemade burger…….

Pita Time Becomes an Eat*-A-One Gold Merchant!

Pita Time, Itaewon’s healthy fast food restaurant, has agreed to become an Eat*-A-One Gold Merchant. This means that every time you go to Pita Time, just show your Eat*-A-One membership card and you and a guest will receive 10% off all meals. Enjoy delicious pita wrap sandwiches and pita pizzas. Outdoor seating available. A great place to people watch and enjoy a healthy meal. Pita Time is located on second floor on the south side of the Itaewon main road, across from the KEB bank building.

Itaewon’s Annual Spring Transformation

As is usual at this time of year, Itaewon is a beehive of activity. Here are a few of the things happening-

A second Starbucks has opened at the western end of the strip, same side of the street as McDonald’s.

Caffeine-lovers will have yet another option when the Coffee Bean& Tea Leaf opens right above Burger King. Surely this will become Itaewon’s premier people-watching perch…during daylight hours at least.
The Hard Rock Cafe is under construction in the old nightclub space where the Limelight used to be. In a normally-paced country it might take many months to finish construction, but this being Korea, it may by mid-May. Who knows?

And Itaewon is about to get its first taste of two as yet unrepresented countries, Austria and Bulgaria…yes, a Bulgarian restaurant is coming to add to the culinary party!

In other news, we will soon have some great announcements for Eat*-A-One members , stay tuned to learn how and where you’ll be able to save.
