As is usual at this time of year, Itaewon is a beehive of activity. Here are a few of the things happening-
A second Starbucks has opened at the western end of the strip, same side of the street as McDonald’s.
Caffeine-lovers will have yet another option when the Coffee Bean& Tea Leaf opens right above Burger King. Surely this will become Itaewon’s premier people-watching perch…during daylight hours at least.
The Hard Rock Cafe is under construction in the old nightclub space where the Limelight used to be. In a normally-paced country it might take many months to finish construction, but this being Korea, it may by mid-May. Who knows?
And Itaewon is about to get its first taste of two as yet unrepresented countries, Austria and Bulgaria…yes, a Bulgarian restaurant is coming to add to the culinary party!
In other news, we will soon have some great announcements for Eat*-A-One members , stay tuned to learn how and where you’ll be able to save.

Seoul’s premier merchant for negative-ion generating salt lamps, Itaewon’s Well-Being Shop, has recently joined Eat*-A-One as a member merchant. This means every time you purchase something there, just show your Eat*-A-One Member’s Card and you’ll receive 10% off all merchandise. I am a skeptical/cynical type of person by nature, but after spending some time around my new salt lamp, I’m beginning to believe we all nead some negative ions to feel positive!
Stop by and learn about these interesting and beautiful products next time your are in Itaewon. Ji Young will be happy to explain how it all works…….
