At first the Seoul Subway Map looks like a complex game of snakes and ladders with ten different subway lines crisscrossing through the city and outer suburbs. The Seoul Cyber Station Site allows you to calculate the travel times between stations, where the best place to transfer is and how much it will cost with and without a T-Money card.

Look up all the train timetables including normal commuters. You can also look up fare details. Currently foreigners cannot purchase tickets online but main subway stops usually sell KTX tickets.

Savings Tip : The earlier you book the cheaper the seat. Also if you are traveling with 3-4 people you can save by asking for the 4 seats in the middle of the car.

Seoul has an extensive bus system that usually runs later than the subway which can be a very handy thing if you get caught on the other side of the city late at night. The Seoul Interactive Bus Map enables you to find buses in your area and also all around Seoul. Simply highlight an area of Seoul on the interactive map, click on "Route Search" in the left menu and you'll be able to find the buses running in that area.
